Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta 2026

Every other year, the Fameline Offshore Sailing Regatta brings Cyprus’s shipping, maritime and business communities onto the water for a day of competitive sailing and networking. The 9th edition, organised by Fameline Holding Group and Limassol Marina, ran on Saturday 26 September 2026 with two races, the Corporate Race and the Open Race.

The scale was significant: more than 33 sailing yachts and over 200 crew members and guests. Both regatta and evening cocktail party at Limassol Marina, drew senior government officials and prominent figures from the island’s maritime community.

The Challenge

A regatta looks simple from the shore, but it depends on many parties moving in step: the marina, the sailing federation, race judges and committees, dozens of yacht owners, and hundreds of guests from all over the world who each need to know where to be and when. The ambition was also high. Fameline wanted a flawless day for corporate teams, many of them hosting clients and partners, with a smooth handover from the race to the evening celebration.

Fameline needed a partner who could take ownership of the whole operation, so their team could focus on hosting rather than coordinating.

Our Approach

1. Taking the lead from day one.
As soon as the event was confirmed, we took charge of communication with every stakeholder: Limassol Marina, the Federation, the judges and the race committees. We ran the side meetings, agreed the terms of collaboration, and locked in the dates and the full regatta plan early, leaving nothing to chance.

2. Direct coordination with yacht owners.
In the lead-up, we worked directly with the owners of the sailing boats to confirm that every requirement was covered, from participation details to on-the-day needs. Planning meetings at the Limassol Marina bistro kept decisions fast and productive.

3. Flawless day-of execution.
We organised the skippers’ meeting and set up a warm welcome for participants. Crews were guided straight to their boats without confusion, so the day started on time and in good spirits.

4. A strong finish.
After the race, we stayed on to run the awards ceremony at the main event venue that evening. Winning teams across the Corporate and Open categories were celebrated in front of the full community, which closed the day with the right sense of occasion.

The Results

  • A seamless event. The skippers’ meeting, boat allocation, race day and awards ran smoothly, with no confusion for participants.
  • Strong participation. More than 33 yachts and over 200 crew and guests from over the world took part.
  • A premium networking setting. Senior government officials and leaders of the island’s shipping and maritime community attended the evening.
  • Time freed for the client. With Parallax managing coordination end to end, the Fameline team could focus on their guests.

"Working with Parallax on our regatta was a great experience. Once the green light was given for the event, they took the lead right away and handled all the communication with everyone involved: Limassol Marina, the Federation, the judges, and the committees. [...] What stood out most was how proactive and organized they were. They took ownership of the whole process, which let us focus on the event itself. Highly recommended for anyone planning a sailing event or regatta."
