We were honored to host The Techno 293 and Techno Plus World Championships in collaboration with The Cyprus Sailing Federation, a spectacular event, culminating in a magnificent closing ceremony. Let’s delve into the four days of racing and examine the journeys of the sailors who emerged victorious in their respective categories.
1-WEEK LONG WORLD CLASS COMPETITION
Despite the challenging light wind conditions, the 240+ participants experienced a fantastic atmosphere throughout the World Championships. Sailors applauded the race committee’s swift and efficient response in maximizing on-water time whenever conditions permitted. The “summer” weather, the signature Techno-friendly beach vibe, and a refreshing swim in the 23°C water at the conclusion contributed to a highly successful week of top-level technical racing.
Beyond the competitive action, we organized several engaging side events in collaboration with local schools. These initiatives aimed to introduce the sport of sailing to young students, fostering a new generation of sailors. Furthermore, we actively participated in beach cleaning activities and organized “Clean Oceans” program sessions, emphasizing the importance of environmental awareness among both participants and the local community.
