3×3 basketball is street basketball with an official stamp: three players, one hoop, fast games, loud crowds. The Cyprus 3×3 mission is to take the sport back to the streets and make it an annual island-wide tradition, with the ambition of ranking among the top streetball tournaments in the world.
For 2026 the ambition grew: a series running through the island’s most photogenic public spaces and ending in a national Finals.
THE PLAY
Running a 3×3 series is like running seven events that all have to feel like the same event. Each one needs its own city, its own municipality, its own court and crowd, and the same brand, the same standards and the same stream quality every time.
What that looks like on the ground:
- A court in every city. The tournaments took over places people already love: the Limassol seafront, the Pafos harbour beside the castle, central Larnaca, Protaras, Nicosia and Omodos Oenou Yi Winery. Every court carried the same colourful Allwyn Series identity, so players and fans knew the series wherever it landed.
- A sponsor line-up that worked as a team. Allwyn as Diamond Sponsor, Primetel as Platinum and Scaffolding Solutions as Gold, with Silver partners SO EASY, MY MALL Limassol, GRAWE Cyprus, Cosmos, Bean Bar and a portable toilets supplier. The Cyprus Sports Organisation and the National Betting Authority came on board as institutional supporters, and the Cyprus Basketball Federation and the municipalities of Limassol, Nicosia and Paralimni-Deryneia joined as co-organisers.
- A stream that never went dark. Every tournament was broadcast live, 23 hours of streamed basketball in total, on YouTube.
- Eight months of promotion. The series was marketed online for eight months with more than 1,000 pieces of content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and the website.
THE PLAY THAT WASN’T ON THE SCOREBOARD
Two parts of the series reached beyond basketball.
Community Games: playing for the future of Cyprus. At five of the tournaments (Nicosia, Pafos, Larnaca, Protaras and Limassol), we ran community games in collaboration with the Enavsma Foundation, the scholarship foundation that grew out of the Thanos Hotels & Resorts Group and Round Table 7 Paphos fund. The games supported its mission of giving more Cypriot youth the chance to study and become tomorrow’s leaders.
The sports conference. The series also included the conference “ΠΡΩΤ-ΑΘΛΗΤΙΣΜΟΣ: The Resilience Behind Every Victory”. Lazaros Papadopoulos and Milan Trajkovic spoke openly about resilience, determination and perseverance, with Nektarios Alexandrou moderating and Dr Marios Avraamidis on the panel. The audience took part with questions, and the event was supported by Allwyn, Primetel, Scaffolding Solutions and Four Seasons Hotel, with the National Betting Authority and Limassol Municipality as institutional supporters.

FULL TIME
A series like this lives or dies on consistency. Seven cities, seven courts and one standard of delivery meant that every player, spectator and sponsor got the same quality of experience, whether they were on the Limassol promenade or in Oenou Yi Winery in Omodos. That reliability is what turned a calendar of tournaments into a brand people follow.
